Be a Cautious Consumer
You can take steps to prevent your confidential account information from falling into the wrong hands. For instance:
- Use discretion when youre asked to reveal your account information. If you are a GNG customer and a different company asks for the information, be cautious about sharing it.
- Always be wary of sharing your Social Security number unless you are certain that sharing it is necessary and you know the company well that is asking for the information.
- Remember that there is no reason to share your GNG account number with anyone except a GNG representative.
- Beware of door-to-door salespeople who may use slick, high-pressure tactics to sell their services.
